auto-raise a window when its content changes?
Is there a way to auto-raise a window when its content changes? e.g.
if I have a
VNC session (from a WinXP box) iconized on my unix X desktop (CDE, if
it matters), and someone sends me an instant message that pops up on
the WinXP screen, can I have the VNC window de-iconize and grab
focus? Thanks.

That's rather a question for your VNC client. I'm not sure whether the
VNC protocol transports such information, though.
