Hello,

Can someone help me with this problem :

- linux 2.4.25 on a ETX board Via Eden 400 MHz

- using xVesa : XFree86-4.2.0 compiled and configured with next
configuration lines
(/usr/src/XFree86-4.2.0/xc/config/cf/host.def)
BUILDSERVERSONLY YES
KDRIVEXSERVER YES
TINYXSERVER YES
XVESASERVER YES
FONTSERVERACCESS NO
BUILDFONTS YES
TOUCHSCREEN YES
BUILDTYPE1 YES

I have copied the original
/usr/src/XFree86-4.2.0/xc/fonts/75dpi/courR12.bdf towards the
directory /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi. There i have converted it to
a pcf file and zipped towards courR12.pcf.gz. Then i run mkfontdir.
When I use the xfontsel utility to show this font, it doesn't show
everything that was in the original bdf file. There are entries in
this file with an encoding value lower than the encoding value of an
'A', but still they do not appear using xfontsel.
I am pretty sure xfontsel is using this font file, because if I make a
change in the pixel values for e.g. a letter 'O', then this change is
reflected in the output from xfontsel.
Who can explain this to me ? Thanks in advance.

Regards

Hans Vermeersch.
