Enabling backing store
Hi everybody!
I am damning myself because I am trying since 2 days to enable the
backing store option on my Linux machine. It is needed for the
particular scientific software that I need to run for work, but even
browsing the netand this usenet group (also others...) I didn't
understand why.... or better, how!
My config is a pentium IV machine, with Linux Suse 9.1, kernel 2.6 and
the graphic card (I think it is involved somehow) is a Ati Radeon VT.\
Thanks to everybody who can help me, all the best to everybody,
Nicola

In Section "Screen" of your XF86Config file, add a line:
Option "BackingStore" "on"
and restart the X server.
