x10-amh program "daymap" schedule bug, or is it me? :-)
Greetings!
I'm starting to use my X-10 CP-290 more, with Linux, and Aaron
Hightower's x10-amh utility. (I have been using it since the early 1980's
with the OS-9 operating system.)
I have it programmed for the "typical" and "everyday" things I have
it do. However, I just started a new job, and I want my bedroom radio and
light to come on at a different time on weekdays, versus weekends. (I did
have them coming on at the same time every day, so I just now hit this
particular problem.)
And, I have a little problem. I'll describe it, and you all can
either tell me that "I've missed something obvious, stupid" or offer me
your (kind) advice on what I should do to fix it! :-)
My bedroom radio is A-2, and my bedroom light is L-8. I want them to
come on at 5:00 and 5:02 (the time they used to come on every day) on
weekends, but at 3:40 and 3:42 on weekdays. I have the following four
entries in my x10-amh schedule file:
<<>>
event {
devmap 2
daymap 1,2,3,4,5
function on
hour 3
minute 40
mode normal
}
event {
devmap 2
daymap 6,7
function on
hour 5
mode normal
}
event {
devmap 8
daymap 1,2,3,4,5
function on
hour 3
minute 42
mode normal
housecode l
}
event {
devmap 8
daymap 6,7
function on
hour 5
minute 2
mode normal
housecode l
}
<<>>
However, when I program, using the above schedule file, here are the
four entries that coincide with the way they appear in my schedule file:
<<>>
event {
devmap 2
daymap 3,4,5,6,7
function on
hour 3
minute 40
mode normal
}
event {
devmap 2
daymap 1,2
function on
hour 5
mode normal
}
event {
devmap 8
daymap 3,4,5,6,7
function on
hour 3
minute 42
mode normal
housecode l
}
event {
devmap 8
daymap 1,2
function on
hour 5
minute 2
mode normal
housecode l
}
<<>>
The weekdays, which I am trying to make "1,2,3,4,5", show up as
"3,4,5,6,7" from the CP-290 (x10-amh -l) output. And, the weekends, which
I'm trying to make "6,7" in my schedule file, show up as "1,2" from the
x10-amh -l output.
I haven't tested this yet, but I don't think it is correct.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your help!
Barry

Barry looks like your out on your own on this one. I don't know of
anyone (not saying that there isn't) using the CP290 (I still have 1)
and Linux.
BTW, I still have 3 OS9 level I boards (Sardis). I haven't run them
in a long while (no extra time).
