I have a DEFPA FDDI board in an NT box, with a 900MHz Duron. It didn't
seem to like any of the ethernet boards I put in, but it seems to like the
DEFPA. It works, but it seems to take a LOT of CPU time.
I transfered a 130MB file (from a W2K machine), the NT machine was
constantly at 100% CPU on the Task Manager, and in the end it managed 86K
bytes/second. FDDI should be able to transfer much faster than that, and in
the end not be CPU limited.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
