6.1 should be 'faster' due to the REST and other client-side additions

is there any difference in executing process action?

In 6 , browser refresh is not executing the proces action but in 6.1 it is.

Any idea about this?

I doubt going from WP6 to WP61 is going to make such a drastic change.
Refresh merely repaints the portal page which in turns will just redraw the portlets by calling their individual doView
Browser refreshes arent supposed to call processAction.

In 6.1, browser refresh is calling the process action.
Is there any way to turn off this feature?

PI is Project Interchange.

Right click on your project, click export,
select last option *Project Interchange under Other*.

This will make a zip of your project, so that others can import your project as it is in their RAD.
