  1. WAS 7 and performance issue during deployment

    Hi!

I've a problem with a WAS 7; every time that I try to install a web application (war) the network deployment took around 40 minutes to just validate the war before send it to the nodes in the cluster. The server have 2 processors and 16 Gigs of RAM (64 bits) and the CPU reach 50-70% usage during that time-frame.
The application eventually is installed successfully but this amount of time seems excessive.

The WAS was originally installed under solaris 10 and now it is under Windows 2003 with similar results.

Is this a typical behaviour for WAS 7? Is there any way to debug the installation process and get some info about what is doing the app server?

    Thanks!
    Gerardo

PS. The WAS have the last available fix pack installed

WAS 7.0.0.0 has deployment issues. These are fixed in 7.0.0.5
