You'll need to set the userid and password on your DataSource.

    Ken

I am giving userid and password bz I am configuring JAAS
authentication to the DB2 , is any other method to do so for
    connection establishing to the database
still I am getting same error

Check if the authentication alias and CMP alias is set properly for the data source that you are using. Also test the Data source manually using test connection in admin console.

    Hi

I am encountering the same problem. I am using Hibernate ORM tool. I
have configured JNDI in WAS 6.1 server and the test is successfull
when I test the connection from server but still I get the error.

Is it necessary to provide username and password in hibernate.cfg.xml
when I have a JNDI setup with authentication information in the server?
