Position : Sr. WebSphere Administrator
Location : Northern Suburbs, IL.
Duration : Fulltime Position


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Manages WebSphere installations, modifications, performance management and configuration.
•Acts as code and build manager for WebSphere applications.
•Manages interactions with members from internal and vendor organizations.
•Investigates and resolves application hosting issues.
•Develops application and operational processes need to model, integrate, automate and manage efficient and flexible business processes.
•Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required, Master’s Degree preferred
•5 plus years solid WebSphere System Management and Architecture experience managing 24/7 applications
•In depth experience with WebSphere 6.1 ND
•Fluent with AIX, familiar with Unix, Linux, Solaris or other Unix type operating systems

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
•Advanced experience analyzing and implementing procedures to improve system and application efficiency
•Ability to automate manual procedures utilizing shell scripting, JACL and Jython
•Working knowledge and experience on AS400, DB2 and SQL Server 2000 a plus
