Hi,

I'm reviewing some GC logs sent by a client using Websphere 6.1.0.7 on Linux. According to them, they have not set the -Xgcpolicy flag, but when I look in the logs I see stuff like:

af type= "tenured" id= "97833" timestamp= "Wed Apr 16 00:00:36 2008" intervalms= "9

From my understanding of the documentation, the use of gc type="global" and af type="tenured", this suggest this is using generational GC, a feature of -Xgcpolicy:gencon, and not -Xgcpolicyptthruput, the default.

Am I misunderstanding the documentation ?

Many thanks for any help ?
