Thread: deployment scripts

  1. deployment scripts

A couple of questions on IBM DataPower
    1. Is it possible to build a set of reusable deployment scripts for DataPower.
    2. Also does DataPower allow automated migration of configuration changes across Dev, Test environments etc., within a single DataPower device.

Can someone kindly address these queries. Thanks in advance

I think the bigger question is : where is the DataPower forum?

Well, DataPower is fairly new hardware device in the market. We are just in the process of evaluating it for our client.

    datapower@ibm,

You might want to check with IBM directly, they would be able to provide the right info. Also as you might have observed already, there are bunch of "datapower" related docs on developerworks,

    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/se...uery=datapower

    Are you guys using XS40?

  4. Re: deployment scripts

Short answer to you question is yes, Datapower supports several methods of automated configuration management and migration. There is also tight integration with Tivoli Monitoring, (ITCAMS for Datapower), to assist in this effort.

Also, you'll find the DataPower forum at http://ibmforums.ibm.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=2418

    John,

Looks like it's an internal IBM forum. Do they have an external version of it?

    Hi John,
Thank you, can you provide some external links or please give the details how this can be done
