  1. Where to set environment variables when starting from theDmgr-console ?

    Hi everybody,

I experienced that it makes a difference if the appserver is started using the dmgr-console or via the startServer.sh script. In the first case environment-settings (like lc_all for locales, or maxdata) which are set in the startserver.sh or in the setupCmdLine.sh are easily ignored - or better: never processed.

So - where to I need to do such settings if I wanna start my appserver from the DMgr-console ?

  2. Re: Where to set environment variables when starting from theDmgr-console ?

They are referred to by different names depending on which version of appserver you are referring to.

    For WAS 5.x:
Set them in Environment Entries under Process Definition

    for WAS 6.x:
Set them a Custom Propoerties under Process Definition (NOT JVM custom props)
