Thread: WebSphere settings THREAD

  1. WebSphere settings THREAD

    Hi.

I would like to start a thread where we all try to add all known custom
jvm settings to manage websphere, debug, trace etc.

    My list.

-Dworkspace.user.root=the location of the new workspace directory
    -Dcom.ibm.security.jgss.debug=all
    -Dcom.ibm.security.krb5.Krb5Debug=all
    -Dcom.ibm.CORBA.Debug=true
    -Dcom.ibm.CORBA.CommTrace=true
    -Djava.util.logging.manager=com.ibm.ws.bootstrap.Ws LogManager
    -Djava.util.logging.configureByServer=true
    -Djava.security.krb5.conf=/etc/krb5/krb5.conf

It's not a good idea to create threads in a JEE appserver. Your thread
will not have any of the container context info, like transaction &
security. You might want to look at asynchronous beans instead.
