ADMU3011E: Server launched but failed initialization. Server logfiles should contain failure inform

Hi Friends,

I am novice in the world of IBM WebSphere. I have installed IBM WebSphere5.1.1 FP7 on AIX5.3 environment.But when i am starting server its getting fail to initialize. I am getting following message after running ./startServer.sh server1

ADMU0116I: Tool information is being logged in file /WT_SAN/IBM/WebSphere/Express51/AppServer/logs/server1/startServer.log
ADMU3100I: Reading configuration for server: server1
ADMU3200I: Server launched. Waiting for initialization status.
ADMU3011E: Server launched but failed initialization. Server log files should contain failure information.

In startServer.log, I am getting following message.

Each server has its own log (similar to a redirect of stdout). That's the
"server log" that will contain more information on why the server failed to
start.
I can't remember what the log file names were in 5.1. Perhaps it was
SystemOut.log like it is in 6.0/6.1. Hopefully you can work out which it is.

One of the more common reasons is that you already have another process
using the ports that the app server is trying to use.

Step to resolve the "ADMU3011E" error.

Solution for windows-XP
Let WPS_HOME = C:\IBM\WebSphere

Step (1): Go to command prompt
Step (2): cd <WPS_HOME>\wp_profile\bin
Step (3): execute file "osgiCfgInit.bat" at command prompt

Now, start server using startServer.bat

Step (4): startServer.bat WebSphere_Portal -user wpsadmin -password wpsadmin

serverName : WebSphere_Portal
userName : wpsadmin
password : wpsadmin
