Thread: WAS cluster - how to duplicate file changes onto all servers

  1. WAS cluster - how to duplicate file changes onto all servers

I have my own web application on my own WAS 6.1 application server. Then
I create a cluster so that the server and the application is duplicated
on all node in the cluster. I want to ask if later I want to change a
file on one node, how do I duplicate the changes to all other nodes.

Are there someone who can answer the questions?

You redeploy the application to the deployment manager, which then
deploys it to all the nodes. I suggest you read the product
documentation in the info center, where this is all described.

If the files you modify are those of the EAR file itself, you need to
redeploy the EAR file (make changes to the EAR file, then update the
    application in the WAS).

If not, you need to check out other technologies (not related to IBM
WebSphere AS) like shared filesystems or immediate file
    synchronisation.

Updating (or adding) a file or set of files may be quicker and less
disruptive than updating the entire application.
