  1. Oracle Sequence in Composite Key

    Hi,

Does Weblogic 8.1 support Entity Beans with a composite key where one of the columns
    is using a sequence?

  2. Re: Oracle Sequence in Composite Key

The WebLogic CMP implementation assumes that when a sequence is used for
    automatic
primary key generation that the sequence value is unique and constitutes a
    key. So, the
answer is no--- a compound key is not supported in this case.

    Are your sequence values non-unique?

  3. Re: Oracle Sequence in Composite Key

The key is composed of a date and a sequence number to make the key unique.
If WebLogic does not support this, any suggestions for a workaround?
