Iam getting the below exception while trying to start the weblogic 7.0.server in
    a standalone mode.
    Exception:
weblogic.server.ServerLifecycleException: Failed to listen on multicast address
    - with nested exception
[java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: set socket option failed]

Please advise to fix this problem.

    Thanks

What hardware/OS/JVM (details on each)? Also, some OS's have multicast
disabled, like old Unixes for example. (Most now enable by default, but it
    used to be different.)
