[TCPware 5.8-2] Firefox doesn't list all files on FTP server?
I saw the announcement of the DRIVERS ECO and started the Firefox on my
personal crap to list the support/58_2 to see that the new ECO isn't listed.
Surprised, I nevertheless started the FTP client on my VMS/TCPware box
and had absolutely no problem to see (and download) the ECO.
Does anyone have any details/insight on this? (eg. is the filename too long?)
TIA

No details, but confiremd with Firefox on Ubuntu Linux.
IE, running in Windows under Ubuntu, has no problem seeing the DRIVERS patch.
Probably not what you wanted to hear...

Part of. It is good to see, that the FTP server of TCPware (which is also
what I'm using) is not the problem. It is very sad to see, that firefox
(and I bet, without having checked, it is only FF3 ;-) is the problem...
Thanks

Sorry, you would lose the bet; FF2.0.0.17 on Ubuntu Linux; I haven't "upgraded"
to V3 yet.
I have V3 at work on W2K; I'll try to remember to check tomorrow, and report
back, unless someone beats me to it.
To get back on topic; yes, TCPware's FTP server is a fine product, and well
worth the price.

FF3 on W2K also does not see the DRIVERS patch.
Re: [TCPware 5.8-2] Firefox doesn't list all files on FTP server?
Hello!
Can someone provide a good explanation about the BG_TCP options:
BG_TCP Parameters and Values
BG_TCP DROP_TIMER seconds
Maximum number of seconds to probe for idle TCP connections before a TCP
connection close
times out.
BG_TCP PROBE_TIMER seconds
Number of seconds between probes for idle TCP connections. Also indicates the
maximum number
of seconds before a TCP connection request times out.
Thanks!
