Thread: sshkeygen?

  1. sshkeygen?

I'm running 5.1 with all patches:
    > $ mu sho/ver
    > Process Software MultiNet V5.1 Rev A-X, AlphaServer ES40, OpenVMS AXP
    > V7.3-2

When trying to generate an SSH2 keypair, I get:
    > $ mu sshkeygen /ssh2
    > %CLI-F-SYNTAX, error parsing 'NATIVE_CONVERT'
    > -CLI-E-ENTNF, specified entity not found in command tables

I've searched multinet:*.cld for the string "native_convert" and not
found any hits. I was able to generate a pair of SSH1 keys, but that
doesn't really do me much good. Especially since trying to
"ssh1_convert" those keys leads to the same "native_convert" error.

  2. RE: sshkeygen?

It sounds like an SSH patch applied the wrong MULTINET.CLD (or it didn't
    stay applied).

digging deeper on one of my particular systems:

An inspection of the ;-1 version does show NATIVE_CONVERT present, as
well as a number of IPv6 and IPv4 lines and a lot of stuff for SSH-CERTTOOL

Looks to me like I should get ;9 to be the current version, and get that
    CLD into dcltables.
