You may remember that I recently switched my DS10 V8.2 from TCPIP V5.5 to
TCPware V5.7-2 after PSC fixed the SSH X11 Bug around xmas 2005
(symptom was no DECW$DISPLAY and was fixed by a new SSH_CONTROL.COM).
I was able then to run X11 over SSH.

Just now I tried again and it doesn't work now (yes, the x11 server is there)
And I'm not aware, that I've changed anything meaningful (but as a long
time passed 2 months I'm not really sure on that - ie. I installed VMS ECOs)

I have a perfectly reasonable DECW$DISPLAY

$ SHOW DISPLAY

Device: WSA4: [super]
Node: ns.langstoeger.at
Transport: TCPIP
Server: 10
Screen: 0

and I have the SSH process listening on the TCP port

$ NETCU SHOW CONNECTIONS
....
BG8597 0 0 *.6010 *.* LISTEN
....

$ SHOW DEVICE/FULL BG8597

Device BG8597:, device type unknown, is online, record-oriented device, network
device, mailbox device.

Error count 0 Operations completed 6
Owner process "SSHD 0001" Owner UIC [_RZ,EPLAN]
Owner process ID 20200284 Dev Prot S:RWPL,O:RWPL,G:RWPL,W:RWPL
Reference count 1 Default buffer size 256

but the application brings

$ MCR DECW$EXAMPLES:ICO
Cannot open display
: non-translatable vms error code: 0x3D0294
%mcr-f-reject, connect to network object rejected

Is anyone aware of such problems ?
Could VMS ECOs be the culprit (KITTING, LAT, RTPAD, SYS, XFC for V8.2) ?
Is there a way to debug X11 over SSH ?

btw: Please, PSC, create/open all logfiles (here now the SSHD.LOG) so that
we can TYPE (or EDIT) them during they are still open/in-use!

I did also install the SSHV572P010 afterwards, but it didn't fix this.
I did also uncomment the line "AllowX11Forwarding yes"
in SSH2_DIR:SSHD2_CONFIG. but again nothing changed (as expected).

Many TIA
