I'm using IDR with Backup Exec 8.5 and the printed manual p.129 says you
can't "fully recovery" a Windows 2000 system from an NT4 backup server. This
is also confirmed in Technote 199484.

In other texts they say you can "fully protect" a Win2000 machine using an
NT4 backup server provided you are running the remote agent.

So it seems you can "fully protect", but you can't "fully recover"?

Does this only apply to IDR, or does it ALSO apply to manual restores? Are
they saying you can't restore the Win2000 machine "at all" if the backup
server is running NT4?
