IDR to a cd-rom writer - Veritas
This is a discussion on IDR to a cd-rom writer - Veritas ; Does anyone know if it is possible make an IDR diskettes and backup to a CDR?
or even better make the CDR bootable with all the info and data, sort of
a one step recovery.
Thanks... Tony...

Re: IDR to a cd-rom writer
With 7.3 .... Yes ! But if you have Compaq servers the answer is "Sort of,
maybe, if the wind's in the right direction" You have problems with
CPQARRAY.SYS, if you have a RAID array. Also you still have to use
SmartStart to create the Utilities partition before you start NT recovery.
IDR does not recreate this partition. You also have similar considerations
with Dell PoweEdge Servers that have their own utilities partition. And
probably anything else that does it's own thing before installing NT.
But when/if you get it going, it's quite good.
