    Hello all,

    is it possible to extend a mirrored veritas volume which has two disks each one in a seperate EMC storage box.

    i need to add diska -> EMC box1
    and diskb -> EMC box 2

    then i need to increase the size of volume.

    can anybody help me.

    Follow the following.
    1. Scan the controller to which the Disk is Attached
    #cfgadm -c configure "controller name like c8,c9,c10"
    2. devfsadm
    3. check in the format o/p if you could find the new device.
    4. if so then label the disk.
    5. then vxdctl enable
    6. vxdisk list
    7. then vxdisksetup -i
    8. Add the disk to the existing dg.
    vxdg -g adddisk diskname=disk
    9. Then resize the volume
    vxresize -F vxfs -g
