Concat vs. Striping on SAN - Veritas Volume Manager

This is a discussion on Concat vs. Striping on SAN - Veritas Volume Manager ; What type of volumes (concat or striped) are recommended for a SAN environment? Seems that since each LUN is already a RAID device would striping at the host level add any benefit?...

    Depends

From the host, IO can be done in parallel if you use different
controllers. So, a stripe with columns (disks) in the stripe on
different controllers, will cause Volume Manager to do parallel IO.
