  1. Upgrading from VxVM 3.1 to VxVM 3.1.1

    Hi All,

    Does anyone know if there are any compelling reasons to upgrade from VxVM
    3.1 to version3.1.1? And do you know if it is free ?

    Thanks in advance!
    Sebastian.

  2. Re: Upgrading from VxVM 3.1 to VxVM 3.1.1

    It is free, but no longer supported. Latest version is 4.1 (after 3.2
    then 3.5 and 4.0) and they are releasing 5.0 later this year.

    What "not supported" means is that even if you discover a brand new bug
    that is so bad that your machine does not even want to start, they will
    not fix it. They will just tell you to upgrade.

    Free is "no new license required" . If you follow the upgrade path (3.1
    -> 3.1.1 -> 3.2 -> 3.5 -> 4.0 ->4.1) now new license will be requierd.
    (Skip one and you'll need a license)
