    Hello,
Sun say that all i have to do to disable the installation of the
DMP section of SEVM/VXVM is to create the file above
    (alternate pathing driver).
Do you recommend this procedure or should i install the whole shebang
    and later disable/remove DMP.
    Rgds,

I am not sure of the /kernel/drv/ap
    but try this.
    mkdir /dev/vx
    ln -s /dev/dsk /dev/vx/dmp
    ln -s /dev/rdsk /dev/vx/rdmp

i.e., creating the driver files of dmp before installing vxvm
    will skip the dmp routine

According to Sun (their Sun Cluster 2.2 class), you can touch the file to
not install Veritas dmp. Essentially, the VxVM install looks for ap, and
if it finds it dmp is not installed.

They mentioned this due to the fact that ap/dmp is not supported on SC 2.2.
