I ran a vxdump of a filesystem onto a DDS-3 tape:
# vxdump 0uf /dev/rmt/0n /applications
vxfs vxdump: Date of this level 0 dump: Fri Nov 3 22:54:34 2000
vxfs vxdump: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
vxfs vxdump: Dumping /dev/rdsk/c1t64d1s0 (/applications) to /dev/rmt/0n
vxfs vxdump: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
vxfs vxdump: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
vxfs vxdump: estimated 66924738 blocks (32678.09MB).
vxfs vxdump: dumping (Pass III) [directories]
vxfs vxdump: dumping (Pass IV) [regular files]
vxfs vxdump: 2.41% done, finished in 3:22
vxfs vxdump: 4.43% done, finished in 3:35

I keep getting really long backup times over 3 hours to four 12GB
DDS-3 tape. After searching Sun and Veritas websites they mentioned a possible
bug and need to run a weird vxdump option:

# vxdump -cu -0 -s 2000 -d 100000 -f /dev/rmt/0cn /applications

What kind I do to fix this problem that I am having getting the vxdump to
backup my vxfs filesystem to DDS-3 tape?

Thank you
