Greetings...

I'm having a world of problems trying to (re)install NetBackup BusinesServer
on a Windows 2000 Server. After configuring/patching 2000, I install BusinesServer
from the autorun, then install the NetBackup for Netware application from
the CD. There is no backup client installed on my server. This installation
is to backup three NetWare 5.1 servers on a DLT7000.

I've identified several patches on the Veritas web site. The first, P0850612,
is for the Novell Netware Client. Following the patch directions for NT,
I execute nlmpatch.exe. This patch seems to install properly.

The second patch, J0850645, has text files discussing version 3.4.1, which
seems relevant to my installation, but everything references installation
off a CD. The only other apparent option is running SETUP.EXE. This results
in an error: Installed version of NetBackup does not match patch version.
Not installing patch.

The third patch, NB_341_1, instructs to run SETUP.EXE to install. This results
in the same error message as above.


Could I please get recommendations on how to perform a clean installation
of BusinesServer on Windows 2000 Server, starting with the installation CD
for version 3.4GA? Or do I somehow need to obtain a 3.4.1 CD?
