This could happen if the Use_Archive_Bit registry key is 'NO'.

This key is set to "YES". Would anything else cause this?

Re: Differential-Incremental Jobs are the size of Full Backup
Does the scheduling class that the 'differential' job is in have a 'full'
schedule in it also? Did someone misconfigure the underlying job type in
the scheduler? Is the clients service running as system/or a user with rights
to change the archive bit (check logs for client when a full runs)?

Re: Differential-Incremental Jobs are the size of Full Backup
What type of system are you trying to back up? I know that Backup Exec is
incapable of doing real Incremental and Differential backups of Unix (at
least, to NT) and that the user must set up Daily backups instead. I'm hoping
that NetBackup solves this problem, so I'm scouring this newsgroup to see
what I can find.
Maybe we can be of help to each other.
