Thread: sighdl: timed out

  1. sighdl: timed out

    I am using NBU 3.2GA in a Solaris 2.6 environment. As of a few
    days ago, I am seeing this in my bpsched logs:

    00:00:24 [1827] <4> bpsched: INITIATING (verbose) ...
    00:00:24 [1827] <2> logparams: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpsched
    00:00:24 [1827] <4> bpsched_main: wait_on_que=0,
    timeout_in_que=36000, reread_interval=300,queue_on_error=0,
    bptm_query_timeout=480
    00:00:24 [1827] <2> getsockconnected: host=backup1
    service=bpdbm address=192.168.164.170 protocol=tcp non-reserved
    port=13721
    00:00:24 [1827] <4> db_ATTDEFS: Class_att_defs protocol 3.2
    00:00:24 [1827] <4> bpsched_main: VSMInit () failed: 2d
    00:00:24 [1827] <8> bpsched_main: another regular bpsched is
    already examining the class configuration
    00:00:24 [1827] <4> bpsched: scheduler exiting - regular
    bpsched is already running (214)
    00:00:24 [921] <2> sighdl: timed out
    00:00:29 [921] <2> sighdl: timed out
    00:00:34 [921] <2> sighdl: timed out

    ....

    No backups are kicking off, except manually. I started seeing
    this message the night the backups stopped running. The docs do
    not mention 'sighdl' nor does this or other mailing lists. I am
    a little lost. All help/advice would be appreciated.

  2. Re: sighdl: timed out

    1. stop the netbackup daemons
    2. /netbackup/db/jobs copy the job there to another location
    3. restart the daemons

    let us know the progeress of this case
