So...I don't want to send you on a wild goose chase, but we just recently
saw this error on our systems. The lead UNIX guy here trouble shooted the
problem to one of the media not properly getting a jumbo patch installed
after a upgrade to 3.2GA of Veritas Netbackup. The problem was haunting
us for over a week, and Dan (_the_ guy!) found that a filesystem filled up
while applying the jumbo patch, preventing the patch from succssfully being
installed. He found the error in the patch.history log file. So...if you
have recently upgraded the master and slaves, but haven't properly put a
jumbo patch on one of the slaves, this could be your problem! See ya'!
    Hope this helps!

    Erik:

More info is needed. For instance, is this your first Oracle backup class
you have configured? Are there others?

What does bpdbm log say around the same time?

The manual backups work but the scheduled backups do not; are your UserDirected
    schedules configured properly?

Sorry to send a machine gun of questions, but the error message indicates
that something can't be found in the database so that's why I ask.

    Thanks
