Thread: something wrong with the robotic PATH

  1. something wrong with the robotic PATH

    i have problems with a robot dlt-library:
it seems all is installed correctly but the robotic path differs in /tpconfig
    -d and sgscan .
The SCSI differential Card hat two Channels.

    /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/tpconfig -d
index DriveName DrivePath Type Multihost Status
    ***** ********* ********** **** ********* ******
    0 Drive0 /dev/rmt/1cbn dlt No
    UP
    TLD(0) Definition DRIVE=1

    Currently defined robotics are:
    TLD(0) robotic path = /dev/sg/c3t11l0, volume database host = media1

    [media1]/> sgscan
    /dev/sg/c0t0l0: Disk (/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0): "SEAGATE ST318203LSUN18G"
    /dev/sg/c0t1l0: Disk (/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0): "SEAGATE ST318203LSUN18G"
    /dev/sg/c0t4l0: Cdrom: "TOSHIBA XM6201TASUN32XCD"
    /dev/sg/c2t10l0: Changer: "ATL P1000 6220070"
    /dev/sg/c2t11l0: Tape (/dev/rmt/1): "QUANTUM DLT7000"

They have found the dtl-library at /dev/sg/c3t11l0 and /dev/sg/c2t11l0
To test the path i tried to access the robot via robtest.
    Used path /dev/sg/c3t11l0

    /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/robtest

    Read element status
    is o.k.

    Used path /dev/sg/c2t11l

    /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/robtest

    doesn´t work

    how can i correct the SG-Drivers ?

  2. Re: something wrong with the robotic PATH

I'm not positive this will work, since I don't know your environment, etc.
But you may want to follow the steps in the Device Configuration manual
for removing and re-installing the sg driver.

    It should be page 29...
