  1. How many active jobs can NetBackup run

I have Solaris 9 with 32 gb RAM & 8 dual core processors. How many active
jobs can it sustain as ours backup team exprience that if active job count
goes beyond 120 backup starts failing with error 219 or other.

Do any one have any idea.

I believe that status 219 relates to misconfigured storage units.
Your server certainly sounds powerful enough.
Is the spec you gave for a master, a media or a master/media?

We run NBU ES v5.1 MP6, with 128 active jobs across 16 tape drives. 2 x
    media of Solaris 8 on Sunfire V480R 8 x CPU + 16GB, each to eight LTO1
drives across a 1 Gb SAN ISL to a 2Gb SAN at each site. Master is a puny
Windows 2000 SP4 Adv Server stretch MSCS cluster of dual P3 1.1Ghz with
2.5GB RAM. And it all runs fine.

    Regards,
    Dave.
