Netbackup job tracker issue
Help please!!!
I'm trying to configure a windows 2003 server that’s running netbackup 5.1MP6.
The problem I am having is the job tracker is showing multiple jobs running
but no jobs are in the activity monitor. The jobs in the job tracker act
like they are running but no data is being transferred. I have restarted
the netbackup services and killed all the relevant processes but to no avail.
If anyone has seen this issue before please let me know how to resolve. By
the way VSP and WOFB are not enabled.

Hi John,
the Netbackup Job-Tracker is very "bugy".
Please do not use this tool.
To deactivat job-tracker run regedit and delete following key:
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\jobtracker
Please use the activity-monitor or bpdbjobs for comandline.

Hi John,
I never use the tracker either, it just slows the backups down, and for
machines with lots (i.e. 500,000+ files) can cause the backup to timeout,
i.e. it takes longer than 5 minutes (default connect/read timeout value of
300 seconds) to total up all the files in the backup selection.
