Stopping or Cancelling Jobs - Veritas Net Backup

This is a discussion on Stopping or Cancelling Jobs - Veritas Net Backup ; Had to cancel some running jobs bt they wont stop. No tapes are loaded so Im assuming the thing has crashed. Is there another way to force jobs to stop without having to re-boot...

  1. Stopping or Cancelling Jobs


    Had to cancel some running jobs bt they wont stop. No tapes are loaded so
    Im assuming the thing has crashed.
    Is there another way to force jobs to stop without having to re-boot

    You can stop and restart the services

    bpdown *wait for services to stop*

    and then

    bpup *wait or services to start*

    Just kill the netbackup processes started:

    #ps -ef|grep netbackup

    will help you to identify processes running, then kill them i.e

    #kill -9

    Stop/Start netbackup services.
