    Ok, this is my issue.

    I have a L700E with 618 slots. Well, I have only 4 slots left. I already
vault everyday and want to add ANY copy ONE backups that are older than 6
months to vaulting by Volume Group.

So I have a volume group "Backups" for one of my applications and the retention
period for this backup is 1 year. I want anything that is older than 6 months
to be ejected with normal vaulting.

Does anybody know how to do this?

    Kevin,

Part of the definition of a vault is whether to eject the target media.
Can't you just enable this feature? Or am I missing something in your description
as to what you want to do?

I have an L700 and I simply eject tapes when the vault finishes. I slowly
get more empty slots until I put blank tapes in.
