Thread: bpstart and end notify script issue for multistream backup

  1. Re: bpstart and end notify script issue for multistream backup

    Hi !

    See my batch file !

    In my 2 batch files, I use touch.exe and tm.exe.....

    Touch.exe change date/time of an existing file, or, what I need, create an
    empty file... You can find it on the WEB

    TM.exe only display date/time without waiting for input (like time and date
    from DOS environment). I don't remember where I find it (may be I create it
    !!!)

    Hope this help !

  2. bpstart and end notify script issue for multistream backup

    Hi ,

    i am taking multistream backup of one policy where bpstart and bpend notify

    scriots need to be executed for importing and deporting the veritas volume
    manger disk group respectively.

    The problem is although bpsrat script seems to be working ok .. when one
    of the script finishes the bpend script gets executed and deports the disk
    group there by failing the other stream backup.

    I have added following variable in both the scripts ( bpstart and bpend)
    as suggested in netbackup admin guide - II but does not seem to work properly
    for bpend...

    STREAMS_NUMBER=2
    STREAMS_COUNT=2

    any help

    regards,
    yogesh
