I'm seeing this also, NBU 6.0 MP3, Windows Server 2003, generally when my
master server is under heavy load. When it happens, it usually takes a master
server reboot before progress begins again. Manually trying to bounce the
services through the GUI takes forever and hasn't worked yet.

All my backups go to a disk staging storage unit using a 5TB RAID5 array.
As a workaround, I've reduced the max jobs on the storage unit to 10, thinking
too many jobs might be a contributing factor.

I've opened a case with Veritas, but haven't gotten a call back, yet.

We upgraded to MP3 on July 12th.
July 18th we experienced Job Manager issue twice during our Incremetnal backups.
We called and have a case open on this as well.
Thank you for creating an original posting of this matter.
