Thread: VSS backup issue

  1. VSS backup issue

I am using Netbackup 6.0 MP2 with open file backup taken thro VSS agent integrated
with netbackup, since all my windows clients are 2k3.

The problem is whenever I reboot the server next time when the backup runs
it uses VSP of netbackup and not VSS. while in the host properties of master
server I still see VSS as the method shown for the open file backup.

VSP does work satisfactorily and skips some files during backup.

The workaround is remove all the clients from client attrbutes in master
server properties and add them freshly by selecting VSS again and then it
    works ok.

ANY permanent solution for this .. where is this configuration stored

  2. VSS backup issue

can someone put some light on this .. the problem occurs even if I restart
the netbackup services instead of reboot of master server.
