  1. email notification - DataCenter 3.4.1 on Win2K

    Hi,

I am trying to get email notification to work on NetBackup DataCenter on
Windows 2000. I installed the freeware SMTP client BLAT as suggested in
nbmail.cmd, however, is there anyway to pass the email address set in the
GUI (i.e., Global Attribute) to the various *notify.cmd scripts ? If I have
to manually replace "someone_who_cares" in those scripts with the actual
email address, what's the point of setting it in the Global Attribute ? Any
help would be greately appreciated !

Only the email address passed to nbmail.cmd is used... the bp****.cmd
notifications don't need that "someone_who_cares" edited for them to send
properly. Everything seems to hinge on nbmail.cmd working properly.

To get email notification to work took about 4 days of trial and error...
I'm still confused by which .cmd files get run where and when.
Documentation is in the admin guide about which ones get run and when
    though.
