Thread: uninstall VCS

  1. uninstall VCS

    When re-installing the product:

VCS configuration files exist on this system with the following information:

    Cluster Name: leon
    Cluster ID Number: 12
    Systems: host1 host2
    Service Groups: ClusterService groupw

No checks have been made to ensure the validity of the configuration.

Do you want to install VCS on these systems? [y,n,q] (y)

    How to properly uninstall VCS??

    thanks

  2. Re: uninstall VCS

There is (depends on the version you have installed) either a script
    /opt/VRTS/install/uninstallvcs

    or

you can manullay unintsall all the VRTS packages (listed in the
    Installation Guide) or

you can keep your current configuration and upgrade

    or

remove the following files and then install again

    /etc/llttab
    /etc/gabtab
    /etc/VRTSvcs/*
