I want to Failover ProdDB from System A to system B. But First I need to
shutdown the three applications on system B then ProdDB failover to B. Again
these applications are not in the cluster configuration. How can do this.
When ProdDB FailOver from system A to system B. The applications have go
down first then ProdDB failover to B.
When ProdDB is running on B we don't want to run 3 application that server.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

Re: Shutdown Application when Service Group Failover to target system
IS there any way you can put the other applications under VCS control?
If so, it could be fixed with the help of Service Group dependencies.
Otherwise it could, maybe, be fixed with triggers and custom scripts. Is
there any reason not to have the other applications under VCS control?

Re: Shutdown Application when Service Group Failover to target system
We don't want to add these applications in the Cluser control.
We want to use trigger script.
Thanks!

Re: Shutdown Application when Service Group Failover to target system
there is a preonline trigger script you can use, simply copy it from
sample_trigger to the trigger directory...modify the script to shutdown the
applications
if i am not wrong, you will also need to enable preonline for the service
group which is disabled by default, click on the servic group show all
attributes to change the setting???
