  1. event notification via email in vcs 1.1.1

    Hi

We have VCS 1.1.1 and VxVm 3.0.4, Vmsa 3.0.6. I want to set up email notification
to notify us of any fail overs and or faults.
    Any suggestions?

In VCS 2.0 the email Notification Manager is available and also the event
triggers that can be configures. Any idea how to implement something similar
    in VCS 1.1.1 ?

    Thanks for any help

In VCS 1.1.1, SNMP was the only mechanism for notification. Triggers were
added in VCS 1.3.0, and notification was part of the engine. In VCS 2.0,
notification was seperated into its own agent.

If you don't have an SNMP console and upgrading isn't an option, Enterprise
Consulting Services has a monitoring utility available which was written
    in perl.
