This is a discussion on Newest MS Patches cause Backup Exec Browser Agent Service To Crash - Veritas Backup Exec ; last night I install all new updates for my Windows 2000/nt/2003 servers. The updates are KB871250 KB891711, KB890175, KB887797, KB890830. Now starting today, the Backup Exec Browser Agent Service crashes unexpectadly every few hours. Any ideas, workarounds or fixes??     last night I install all new updates for my Windows 2000/nt/2003 servers.
    The updates are KB871250 KB891711, KB890175, KB887797, KB890830.

    Now starting today, the Backup Exec Browser Agent Service crashes unexpectadly
    every few hours. Any ideas, workarounds or fixes??

    Sound like the issue with MS04-044 (KB885835), though you have not mentioned
    it in your list of patches. Check out the following links:

    The patches are the newest ones that came out this Tueday. I will try the
    hotfix however.
