I have just built a new 2003 server with BE9.1, Our current backup server
is 2000 with BE8.5, is it possible to export all of the job definitions from
BE8.5 to my new BE9.1 server?
Thanks Darrell.

On the old server, shut down all BEWS services
Copy the PVL.MDB file for safekeeping (PVL.MDB.OLD for example)
Re-Start BEWS, delete all tape devices/libraries
Shut down all BEWS services again
Copy the entire ..\Program Files\Veritas\BEWS subtree (or where ever you
have installed BackupExec to the new server.
Install v9.1 over the top of the copied code.
Intallation SHOULD migrate all your old job defs, select lists, etc to the
new version, but I've seen reports of problems here on the forum. You will
have to edit the jobs to point to the tape device(s) on the neew machine
If you need to go back to the old server, remember to rename the copied
PVL.MDB file before starting the services
