    I'm unable to abort a running job...its sits at job status=Pre-processing
    (I'm using BE9.0). Any idea what this pre-processing is?

    Use of the Advanced Open File Option (AOFO) will cause Jobs to stay in a
    pre-processing state longer than Jobs that are not using this option. The
    length of time a job is in pre-processing is directly related to how much
    data is selected to be backed up.
    You can also refer to this tech note which will help you resolve the issue.
    Tech note title: When using VERITAS Backup Exec 9.0 for Windows Servers,
    jobs stop responding in the "pre-processing" state indefinitely.
