I am getting the very same along with a lot of other people by the looks
of it.. I have posted a case to Veritas and am awaiting their response

I'm now getting this error at various points while backing up my SQL 2000
databases after installing Service Pack 1. Has anyone recieved an update
from Veritas on this?

I have been having this problem at 2 client sites - the remote agent constantly
has problems communicating with the backup engine - it has got worse since
upgrading to the current rev....
