Symptoms:
Running Backup Exec ver 7.01 on NT4 server...
Email notification only works when Outlook on server is open.

Just recently had a problem with setting up the email notification and got
the following error:

Could not login to e-mail system using the current user account (
Administrator ).

The e-mail profile name and password specified must be configured for both
the current logged in account and the account under which the Backup Exec
system services are running.

This occured when we typed the Outlook profile name and administrator password.
Somehow it finally worked (we think it was when Outlook was running).
Could this be a MAPI problem on the server?
We recently had re-installed Microsoft Office 2k on the server.
Please help.
