Hallo,

I have the following problem:

I whant to restore a backup of the last night to an other folder than the
origional and not the complete tape but a folder with his subfolders (ca.
350MB)

My Server is a NT4 SP6
My Tapedrive is HP DDS3

I can see in the logfile of the backup that it was complete and
sucsessfull.

The restore hangs after 4% for ca. 45min (the clock runs)
Than it runs to 99% hangs there for 2h
After 3h the restore job says that it was sucsessfull.

If I look in the restore folder of the server I see that not all subfolders
are restored

My actions I have done:

I talked with the HP hotline

DDS3 device disconnect of the raid controller and connect to an own SCSI
controller (AH2940) -> no success
New DDS3 device -> no success

BUT
If I restore the complete tape to an other than the origianal folder, there
is no problem.

Can anyone give a me a solution für my problem?
