autoloader with RAIDs? - Veritas Backup Exec
This is a discussion on autoloader with RAIDs? - Veritas Backup Exec ; hi everybody,
could anybody tell, if there´s a way to get an HP Surestore 40*6 autoloader
running under Win NT 4.0 Server SP6a and RAID system? It seems, that RAID
is generally not supported by the device driver.
Thanks,
bye, ...

Re: autoloader with RAIDs?
Not exactly sure what you are asking here.
BackupExec should happily backup data from a RAID volume as long as NT/W2K
see the drive ok.
You should NOT be running the tape device off a RAID controller. It should
be a standard SCSI controller, on it's own channel as a minimum, on it's
own controller by choice.
